Metric - Grow Up and Blow Away (2007 Release)
Grow Up and Blow Away was the first recorded album by indie rock band Metric. The album was recorded in 2001, but delayed for years by their record label. As the years passed, the band’s sound changed to the point where they no longer felt the album would be what the fans expected to hear, so Metric recorded a completely new album, Old World Underground, Where Are You Now?, and released that instead. Last Gang Records later purchased the rights to the album and released it on June 26, 2007.From Wikipedia.

Bandinha objeto do primeiro post de nossa one and only, disco subsequente. C sabia desse disco?
She Wants Revenge - This Is Forever (2007)

On its 2007 sophomore outing, THIS IS FOREVER, She Wants Revenge doles out more gloomy, keyboard-heavy tracks, still staunchly rooted in 1980s synth-pop. While the Joy Division/Depeche Mode influences are still apparent, the Los Angeles-based duo of Justin Warfield and Adam 12 also draw on the Sisters of Mercy and early Simple Minds as inspiration, particularly on the ominous “Written in Blood.”From CDUniverse.com

-Conterraneos de The Knife
E lembra Digitalism. Ve aí:
Familjen is the alias of Swedish techno/electropop artist Johan T Karlsson.
Karlsson grew up in Hässleholm, Skåne (the same town as fellow electronica producers Andreas Tilliander and Stefan Thor (Folie)), but is currently based in Stockholm. In his youth as a synthpop fan he also formed bands with Sophie Rimheden from nearby Lund[1]. Karlsson has previously produced Swedish indie band David & the Citizens.
Karlsson describes his music as indie-techno:
I’m pretty fed up with guitar - Indie and techno can get a bit monotone after a while
All his lyrics are in Swedish, or the southern dialect of Scanian to be more precise. He performs live with Andreas Tilliander on synthesizer.
Both the album and the single Det snurrar i min skalle are released on Tellé in Norway, the same label as Röyksopp, Annie and Kings Of Convenience[2].
In October 2007 Familjen won the Swedish web-based music competition Rampmusic[3][4] (competitions were also held in Norway and Denmark). Some unexpected help came from the file sharing community Piratbyrån, who on their website encouraged their visitors to vote for him (without Karlsson’s knowledge). From Wikipedia

Ladytron reveal the track list of their new album Velocifero and tour dates. Their 4th album involves collaboration and co-production with Vicarious Bliss, signed to Ed Banger Records and Alessandro Cortini of Modwheelmood and of course part of the old “rock band configuration” of Nine Inch Nails. This was before Trent Reznor disbanded it to explore alternative methods of performance.
The album, according to the news section of their website and other sources:
“Was recorded in Studio de la grande armee, Paris”, “and Liverpool”.
“The album was then mixed and glued together in Los Angeles by the talented Mr Michael Patterson (Beck, P. Diddy)”.

Review by Heather Phares, All Music Guide
At first, Tapes ‘n Tapes’ much buzzed-about debut album, The Loon, plays like a CliffsNotes of indie rock, serving up the shouty, snotty sound of early Modest Mouse (”Just Drums”), Pavement’s laid-back angles and historically astute lyrics (”The Iliad”), and the surreal strumminess of Come on Pilgrim-era Pixies (”Cowbell”). But just because Tapes ‘n Tapes broadcast their influences so clearly throughout The Loon doesn’t make it a bad album. Actually, the built-in familiarity of their sound is kind of comforting, particularly on pleasantly meandering pop songs like “Buckle” and “Jakov’s Suite,” and “Manitoba,” a woozy ballad that recalls the Walkmen at their prettiest (and tipsiest). And, as The Loon unfolds, it shows Tapes ‘n Tapes developing a style of their own — or, at least, a more distinctive take on the indie bedrock on which their sound is built. The aptly named “Insistor” gallops out of the gate with more confidence and excitement than many of the album’s other tracks. The abrupt tempo and dynamic shifts on this song and “In Houston,” which pairs sparkly keyboards and almost jazzy verses with crunchy, sharp-edged choruses, show a flair for movement and drama that could become Tapes ‘n Tapes’ signature. “Omaha” is another standout, with subtly sophisticated drumming and lush, bittersweet vocal harmonies. However, The Loon is crafted like a true album; even if all the songs don’t quite reach the level of its highlights, it all hangs together well, with appealing tossed-off tracks like “Crazy Eights” and the just-rough-enough-around-the-edges production adding to its personality. On the first few spins, it might be hard to understand what all the hype around The Loon is about, but it may be down to the fact that it’s just a really solidly made album.

Cold War Kids - Robbers and Cowards
